COVID-19 is changing our everyday lifestyles in a drastic way. Some of us have the privilege of working from home during this pandemic, while other front-line workers must expose themselves to the public to keep essential businesses afloat. One of the biggest demographics that have been negatively impacted by this situation is unemployed citizens. Many of these people are already in the low-income class category and are struggling to make ends meet without an income stream. This affects their ability to pay rent, bills, and even purchase groceries. We at Incepta have decided to give back to the community in their time of need. Incepta is following all social distancing rules in order to stay safe, so we decided that the best route to go down would be donating to the right cause.
We’ve encouraged our employees at Incepta to make donations to Daily Bread Food Bank and Incepta has matched their generous donations. These proceeds will go straight to the purchase of groceries that can be distributed to those low-income or unemployed citizens who are in desperate need for food in order to survive.
“We are so proud of our employees to take the initiative to donate to this charity. Our employees have shown their kindness through their actions and the company is more than happy to match their donations” says Ishtiaq Ahmed, Managing Partner at Incepta
Daily Bread Food Bank is one of Canada’s largest non-profit, charitable organization that distributes food to neighbourhood food banks and meal programs within Toronto. We did extensive research prior to making donations to find an organization that corresponded with our values at Incepta, and we are happy to support this organization as they stand for the right cause.
Incepta encourages individuals and companies to donate to local food banks and non-profit organizations if they have the ability to. Now is the time for us to step up and support our communities and this is an incredibly influential way to help those in need.
