Toronto Virtual MuleSoft Meetup – API Security & Threats

Introduction

Incepta’s very own Satyam Patel (Technical Architect) spoke about API Security and Threats at the Toronto Virtual MuleSoft Meetup on September 30th, 2020. We are proud to have participated in this educational event and enjoyed Satyam’s presentation along with the excellent audience engagement.

Presentation Overview

In the last 10 years, there has been a substantial increase in API usage. APIs are everywhere, transforming business systems around the world. This rise will continue with the further adoption of IoT devices. As more APIs are created, cybersecurity risks and threats must be considered. Data and privacy breaches are major pain points for business and IT.

Technical Profile

Satyam has eight years of experience in the integration domain, is certified in MuleSoft, and is an AWS-certified solutions architect associate. He has served as a Technical Architect in MuleSoft with expertise in integration architecture concepts, designs, and development methodologies, along with hands-on experience in Mule 4. Satyam’s presentation discussed why API security is an essential component of API-led architecture and how to protect the systems within the architecture.
